No gods, no masters. There's no hierarchy within the Queerillas and whatsmore: any hierarchy within the queerillas is strictly prohibited. Each member's voice counts equally. We expect all members to take their decisions informed and responsible by their own, therefore we might request further evaluation in case of dead heats or questionable voting behaviour. We expect our members not to vote in the sense of others. If a member does not have an opinion about something, then choose abstention.
Normal decisions require a simple majority of 51%.
Major decisions require a significant majority of at least 80%. Major decision are considered the following:
We are open to people of all marginalized genders. Allys exist, we admit that. But we are sorry, we want to achieve things on our own. This is important to us. Dear queerfeminist dya cis men, just imagine someone would always say: "Yeah sure you could do, but come on, why would you? Let me do it for you!". This is not satisfying and also not emancipatory.
People of marginalized gender can apply - no matter who they are, what their skills are, where they are from.
For legal reasons we unfortunately have to set an age minimum of 14 years. Younger people can join us as mates of regular full members. These do not necessarily have to be the legal guardians.
To protect the group we also require a specific process to accept new members. New members can only be integrated by full members. This requires the full member to introduce you to at least three other members, who will decide about that. If your application is accepted, you earn a preliminatory membership at first. Your spokesperson will then mentor you to get your full membership. With their consent you can also choose another mentor. Your membership will turn over from preliminitary to full member only after a period of 3 months with successful evaluation. You will have to pass some quests to do so.
Though we emerged throughout a hacker event, we are not defined as a group of technically versatile people - everybody can be part, independent from their education, knowledge, skills or experience. We would accept kindergartners, but unfortunately we had to set an age minimum for legal reasons.
However, technological independence and self-reliance means a lot to us. Therefore we strive for collective support and collaborative selbstermaechtigung. We won't force anybody to learn any high-level stuff, but in order to protect the community we require each member to learn some basics about the platforms we use and rely on.
We are located in various countries all over the world. No matter where you're from, no matter which timezone: you'll be able to collaborate with us! The more, the better.
The primary language is English, but you may also come up with every other language. We also have native speakers in Spanish and German. However, to introduce more languages we first need to build some level of trust with each other. So new members cannot introduce new languages right away unless there's already some support in the present group.
