This is draft 🙂️
- Get in touch with any of our members. Please note only full members can introduce new members.
- Participate in a meeting to introduce you. You'll meet three other members. You'll be asked a lot of questions in this meeting, so we ask you to prepare yourself well with everything you need.
- Within 2 weeks you'll receive your acceptance or rejection note. In case of a rejection you can try again as much as you want, as long as you find an existing member who is willing to go through that with you. In case of acceptance you'll officially be a prelimininatory member from that point on.
- As a prelimininatory member you have restricted access and rights. Our group depends on trust. Therefore we need to evaluate for a longer period if we can trust in you.
- During this evaluation period you might be asked to join some meetings and you will be asked more questions. We try to keep this period as short as possible and it will only be as long as necessary. Usually you should be granted with a full membership or revoked within 3 months.
- With revoking your preliminatory membership you won't be able to apply again.
- With gaining the full membership, you are granted with the exact same rights and access as every other full member.
How to find an existing member?
If you do not yet know anyone of us, then please reach out to us. Please let us know why you want to join, what your interests are and some details about you and how you would want to participate. This will make it easier to find a good match in our group to get in touch with you and to guide you through this process.
It sounds all a bit restrictive?
Yeah, it is. Intentionally. We wanted a process which is open for everyone but still restrictive enough so we can actually still fully trust each other. So to introduce potentially complete strangers we need these rules. Complete strangers might also be asked way more questions than you, if you're already close to the group or known to us.
